Urethritis – Urethral Syndrome

This is a result of the infection of the urethra or the passageway through which the urine travels out of the body. Most women would suspect UTI’s but without proper diagnosis, it can lead to cancer if left unchecked. The condition can also be caused by hormonal problems and other complications which may or may not find any problems with a simple urinalysis. Treated with low-dose antibiotics with the ailing urethra dilated with a special instrument, it is treatable and as with other STD’s, the earlier the better so complications are prevented in later life. This can result in frequent urination that is painful and difficult at which stage the urethra is already chronically inflamed.
Refer such pain with a gynecologist so you can get a better and more exact diagnosis, preventing complications. The hormonal issue can also be resolved with treatment and the symptoms dissipate as treatment takes place. Proper monitoring and hygiene is necessary to prevent further recurrence so diligence is the key.
