Safe sex is the exercise of sexual activity that moderates the threat of infection with sexually transmitted diseases or STDs. On the contrary, unsafe sex is the practice of sexual contact with no consideration for anticipation of STDs. Safe sex has been practiced ever since AIDS become epidemic in 1980s. Promoting safe sex is at present the prime concern of sex education. From the point of view of society, safe sex can be considered as a destruction strategy. Although, the objective of educating the young people for having a safer sex is prevention from unwanted pregnancies and other STD risk infections.
