The disease is an infection caused by one of many pathogens (bacteria) such as Chalmydia trachomatis, Ureplasma urealyticum, AdenoVirus, Haemophilus vaginalis, Mycoplasm genitalium, Trichomonas vaginalis and Herpes simplex Virus.
